Zaxxon, which should I buy?

Hey guys,

I was wondering what the best home version of this game was back in early 80's. I am tempted to buy the INTV one but would like to know if any one thinks there are way better versions out there.

any help would be appreciated.

I'd go Coleco. But I'm partial to the system. Great colors, good reproduction and much better controls than Intv.

If this is what the Intellivision version looks like then you're better off with the much more arcade faithful Colecovision version. http://www.mobygames.com/game/intellivision/zaxxon/screenshots

Or you could just emulate the arcade original with MAME. The rom is easy to find.

The arcade version is also included on the Sega Genesis Collection for the PS2.

Though if you really need a console port, the Colecovision one is the way to go.

Definitely the Colecovision port, the first, or was it second? game I ever played
(or was it Donkey Kong?)...

you could try to afford the expensive 3D GLasse and Zaxxon 3-D for the sega master , its a real pleasure

thanks guys, looks like Colecovision it is. I have been trying to buy one but just cant bring my self to spend the money when most Colecovision titles are on the atari or INTV any way, but it seems to have the best Zaxxon for sure.

I like the Sega SG-1000 port the best, i love the music and the visuals and gameplay are very good
