Yes on the HD TV. I have my NES, SNES and Wii all hooked up to my tv at the moment. SNES is A/V, NES is Coax, and Wii is Component. Both the SNES and NES look great if I have the tv set to 4:3 mode do not let it stretch your image or it starts to look horrible. I played with some of the picture quality settings and not it looks just like a normal TV and I have a preset for it. My HD is probably 2nd gen so it's no where near as hi-tech as the new ones it's also a tube not a lcd/plasma which could be making a huge difference.

Yeah, the tv need to be 4/3, you don't want to stretch the picture!

Almost ever tv has the option to resize the screen, i dont see why people feel the need to hunt down square tvs for retro games.
