PS-1 Crash Bandicoot??

Postby Greisha1 » May 9th, 2010, 10:46 pm

Hey all,

I was looking at buying some of the Crash Bandicoot games for PS1 (since I'm searching for good platformers for the system), but I have no idea of Crash other than that one commercial where he is in front of Nintendo of America headquarters in the mid 90s. Are these games any good?? Are they worth the $10-$20 they're selling for on amazon??

I'd go for Crash 2,that's only one that's decent. All the others are too buggy [Crash 1],lack good level designs [Crash 3],or have serious control issues [Both of them]. Honestly I don't see the difference between old Crash and new Crash, both are just garbage.

Crash Bash and CTR are by the most embarrasing and abominable.

But Crash 2 plays out decently,a fairly good  level layout, not too difficult and amusing. The themes are also quite catchy.

Have you ever considered Spyro or have you already tried those? Otherwise I'd check those out.

Crash 2 sounds good.

I saw Spyro being played quite a few years ago, but at the time, it didn't look like anything to write home about. Maybe I'll try that out or Ape Escape.

All of the PS1 crash games are good save for crash bash. I just prefer crash 2 over a lot of the other three.
