Well, these guys went as far as to say that this is the worst (First Person Shooter) game they ever told a story about. That part actually concerns me because Craig obviously never played Daikatana.

Well, to be quite fair, they never played Cyberdillo on the 3DO- That is the worst FPS in existence.
Every genre has a starting point, and this one is.

The gametrailers review was funny, but I agree that there was a lot of bad FPS in the early days. The first FPSs that seemed playable were the Doom ports. The 32x was pretty good, especially compared to similiar games on the 32x. I also heard the SNES Doom was pretty good for its time.

Yep. "Faceball 2000" is a SNES port of the 1987 Atari ST game Midi Maze, one of the earliest FPS games. 5 years older than Wolfenstein 3D. There's a lot of undeserved criticism in that video.

I don't think the criticism was bad. The reviewer described the game having a choppy framerate, and in general frustrating gameplay.
