Favorite version of Doom?

Postby Leo1 » January 11th, 2012, 1:01 am

Was looking at a video of Doom running on the 32X just now and saw this as a suggested video.

It's a nice looking homebrew of Wolfenstein 3D running on the 32X. I'll have to pick up a Genesis Everdrive cart someday and try this out on real hardware.

I was always more of a fan of this game than I was the original Doom, for some reason.

The Xbox and Xbox 360 have better versions of Doom than the Jaguar.

The Xbox version has a pretty terrible bug meaning that the skybox is completely wrong in Episodes 2-4.[/QUOTE]

I think I must've played beyond episode 1 at least once and don't recall any obvious issues. What's incorrect about it?

I assume it's fixed on the XBLA release? I'll have to finally play through that someday (I've never actually finished any version of Doom).

Yeah the XBLA version was fine but on the original XBox version there was no Hell skybox: http://doom.wikia.com/wiki/Xbox
