Oh no...I've just noticed I forgot Beamrider!!! It's a masterpiece in my opinion, and by far the most underrated VCS game and... and I forgot it... I forgot it... poor poor Beamrider, what a sad fate...

[/QUOTE]Hmm... I recently, played Beamrider using emulators, I wasn't impressed with the CV, 5200, and INTV...ports! Well, the gameplay isn't too bad, but it was a bit dissapointing, moving across beams, became annoying and yet plain ...
all at the same time.
I could play the Stella emulator of 2600 Beamrider again to see if this version is more forgiving or fun...
I never bought any Beamrider game because it's not worth the high $$$ to me.
There's no way I could be convinced it's a masterpiece or most underrated for 2600.

I played CV and 5200 versions using emulators, but I don't like much those ports, specially the second one.
I played Beamrider for the first time in "Activision Hits Remixed" for PSP and then I bought it for my VCS... it's surely the best version of the game, and I keep on liking it very much! I can't say if it's "forgiving" or not, but I think it's challenging but fair, and that is a very good thing in my opinion.
It can be repetitive after many games, but always less than almost all other fixed-shooters...!
