Kojima possibly leaving Konami

Postby ptdebate1 » April 1st, 2015, 9:47 am

Konami has pulled all Kojima Productions insignia from MGSV and Silent Hills marketing material. Many are speculating that this foretells the end of Kojima's career at Konami. What do you think?

What would Metal Gear look like without Kojima? Would it be a Star Wars situation where the two are better off parting ways? Would it be unrecognizable? What would you like to see Kojima make if he goes independent?

Silent Hills might still be good if they leave Guillermo del Toro attached to the project, but they'll need a veteran of game design to fill Kojima's shoes.

Kojima possibly leaving Konami

Doesn't this happen after every Metal Gear release since number 2 ?
I think be must put that much of himself into these games that he's just fed up and exhausted once it gets to release. I don't think Metal Gear would ever be the same without Kojima but that's not to say that's a bad thing as the OP states, like Star Wars it has a possibility in moving in a fresh direction.

Time for Kojima to revisit Snatcher ?
