The upcoming Blazblue Cross Tag Battle has half of the roster is locked away as DLC!: https://www.reddit.com/r/PS4/comments/7 ... lf_of_the/ And to add insult to injury it has a season pass with no price tag!: https://gematsu.com/2018/01/blazblue-cr ... belladonna. They also may make a complete edition with the DLC that should have been in the game at day 1!. One good reason not to buy most games at day 1 because of this crap! Thoughts?

The Blazblue series was never great to begin with. Now we have another excuse not to buy it.
Thanks for the heads up!

Most modern games are incomplete betas these days, you will be lucky to get games that have zero DLC, patches, micro-transactions and installs as it is very rare these days, the only way companies will stop is if people vote with their wallets.

I'm surprised these get released. Don't console manufactures test games? How can they test an incomplete game?

It never gets old taunting the developers on their pages asking why they aren't trying to give us a complete game.. Heck CoD WWII needed a day one patch to work, Battlefront 2 had lootboxes.. And now it seems that PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds is testing.. LOOTBOXES.

Unfortunately, producing a game that's complete and a game that makes money are competing interests, and guess which one usually wins?

Related with this thread, the soon to be recently released Rocket League for the Nintendo Switch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OwXuSjNyCc and Street Fighter V Arcade Edition use DLC codes for DLC that should have been backed in the cart/disc. Even though the most up to date patches are on the cart/disc which is ridiculous. Also a video about the DLC characters problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rze4BKNH0B4.

Related with DLC scams, there are two games with $80 Season Pass: https://www.dualshockers.com/atelier-ly ... ason-pass/ and https://www.dualshockers.com/blue-refle ... ason-pass/ that is $20 more then a $60 dollar game and it is a rip off!

I know it a old topic, but this is now more relevant then ever as we are getting a complete edition as the game that should have been at launch.: https://www.play-asia.com/blazblue-cros ... /13/70cxm9

This seems to be a trend. Release a game digitally while you're still adding content and working out the bugs. Then when it's finally complete, release a physical version.

Sounds like the digital people aren't being treated with much respect.
