Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night survey!

and https://goo.gl/forms/ixFX7krdMjD2DVtJ2 and And tell the survey to cancelled the PS Vita versions as that port is becoming more pointless and unnecessary with the PS Vita sales dying out worldwide and the fact they have the Nintendo Switch version available. Also it could mess up the game similar to what happen with Mighty No. 9 as the PS3/Xbox 360 and the development hll 3DS/PS Vita versions held back and downgraded the base game into the mess we know today!

Fill the survey out now!

Actually, the PS Vita is stronger than ever, far surpassing sales goals year after year.

Despite releasing before the now completely dead Wii U, the Vita still has many new releases on the horizon and is actively supported by Japanese and indie devs.

The high attach rate of the console is the key behind its strong software portfolio. Decent sales are practically guaranteed because gamers who support the Vita buy EVERYTHING that releases for the console.

With all due respect, why would anybody sign a petition to have a port on any platform cancelled? That seems silly and pointless, and it serves to screw over fans of a particular platform. I could understand if the game was only coming out for PS Vita, and the petition was created to sell the developers on other platforms. As a Nintendo fan, I know what it's like to see games cancelled, and it completely sucks.

Sorry, but even if a platform isn't selling, how is it harming you/us if this game is ported?

Remember Mighty No. 9, Watch Dogs 1, Destiny 1, Dragon Age: Inquisition case, etc. From the late 2013 to 2016 period of PS4, Xbox One, Wii U when that system was relevant. Many of them where messed up because of weaker systems being involved. I have proof.:

According to this podcast around the first 38 minutes around the 34 minute mark: https://ia601601.us.archive.org/16/item ... tEp159.mp3 they say it was a big fault of the PS3/Xbox 360 versions co-existing alongside the main PC/PS4 and Xbox One versions for Dragon Age: Inquisition case and because of last gen limitations, the game was downgraded and could not live up to it promised next gen vision. And their is proof that last gen/handheld versions can hurt the potential of any game.:. Also remember this situation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_A6Z3gkXlk that game was downgraded to work on last gen along with next gen and PC. Heck a video talks about holding back.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4_1sP8 ... be&t=4m51s So their is some truth that being cross-gen/handheld does hurt games in some degree?: As these videos also say it best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tw55re7QTEM and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNDHAhBbP2E

Also many people where disappointed that the 8th gen was a small leap and not next gen enough especily PC gamers. Also people even seen 8th gen dated on arival: https://youtu.be/pKXK1d7Jdu4. Which is why the Pro, X, and Switch came out becauae the base systems where too behind the curve too last. Also it can hurt sales for systems like how 3DS smash hurt Wii U smash as if no 3DS version exsisted more people would pick up the Wii U system. And the same was for the infamous Titanfall 1 situation where it was a huge mistake of making it multiplatform on the PC and Xbox 360 around the same time period the main Xbox One version was out. I mean this video said it best: https://youtu.be/YlfOymeSkGw?t=2m14s in the part that says if it is the only place to get it on is that one system, more consoles for that said system would have been picked up because it incentivize the gamer/custemr to buy the piece of hardware for that one game alone! And the part that says why is that game released for older/less powerfull hardware blows his mind because that never happen in previous gens to the existent which was virtually unheard of at the time frame! It also makes the publishers/developers nervous because it then makes then gamers/consumers buy the inferior 3DS version over the superior Wii U version which defeats the purpose of buying next gen hardware!

Also I bandwagon from those video and podcast links because I agreed with them. So if you have somethings to blaim it is the links.

Sorry for the long post.

Podcasts are hardly evidence that the Vita is holding back other platforms. And there is zero evidence that Bloodstained is suffering on PS4, XB1, etc because of the Vita.

Not sure why a gamer would try to convince other gamers to help cancel a video game on a platform many of us like.

First of all the podcast was talking about Dragon Age: Inquisition not Bloodstained. Second I like what the podcast said and the other links because they are right about this problem during the 2013 to 2016 period.

Also the PS Vitas problem is that it is not only less powerful then PS4 and Pro, Xbox One and X, and Nintendo Switch. But also Wii U, PS3 anf Xbox 360 as well. And to make matters worse is they are trying to run the all mighty Unreal Engine 4 on PS Vita along with more powerful systems being the same across all. And to do it on a handheld that is below the Wii U, PS3 anf Xbox 360 is disastrous after what happen with Mighty No. 9 and many early cross gen/handheld cross platform games during the 2013 to 2016 period. Imagine trying to port Quake 3 on the PS1 and N64 it would never work and you will laugh at it if they try!

Also, after people got burned from both Mighty No. 9 and Yooka-Laylee. Their is an extremely low expectations on AAA Kickstarter games and you have people questioning Shenmue 3 with questionable things happening behind the scenes. Also Streach goals can mess up projects like Mighty No. 9 and Yooka-Laylee case as it can spread things, cause delays, or downgradeds etc. And because the Vita port of Bloodstained is a streach goal that is somewhat a red flag!

Sorry for the long responses.

I haven’t played Mighty Number 9 but Yooka Laylee is great and anyone expecting anything other than what they got simply had unrealistic expectations. It was basically Banjo Kazooie for current systems which is exactly what they promised.

I think it’s pretty silly to think that games are held back when they come out on older platforms. This has been happening for decades and has never been an issue. Tony Hawk 3 and 4 game out on the original PlayStation alongside the PS2 and Gamecube release and Tony Hawk 3 is by far the best game in the series.

For the first part I was once very hyped for Yooka Laylee because I thought it was going to be the first big budget Kickstarter game to save the day after the now infamous Mighty Number 9. And it looked great made bettet that it was only in development for the current most powerful systems at the time period. Giving high hopes for a game like that. But I lost all hype and interest in the game between the controversies such as John Tron being removed: https://mynintendonews.com/2017/03/23/j ... ial-views/, the publisher and developer banning and censoring people not long after:https://www.oneangrygamer.net/2017/03/yooka-laylee-devs-ban-and-censors-users-after-removing-jontron-from-game/26804/amp/. The console versions at launch that have been fixed fortunately! Mixed reviews and these two reviews.: http://www.thejimquisition.com/yooka-laylee-review/ and https://youtu.be/T8Jzloqqe2s. And the second video does mention that streach goals can mess up projects like Mighty No. 9 and Yooka-Laylee case as it can spread things, cause delays, or downgradeds etc. And because the Vita port of Bloodstained is a streach goal that is somewhat a red flag!: https://youtu.be/T8Jzloqqe2s?t=17m3s, not helped that one of the co-developers left mid way in the development.: http://www.siliconera.com/2017/07/25/in ... odstained/ which is also a red flag.

As for the second part, Tony Hawk 3 and 4 on PS1 where both completely different and water down compared to the next gen versions so it does not count. And mind you it was not a problem in the 7th gen and below because ports on less powerful hardware difference where more notable and the old gen ports from those gens where often garbage in comparison. It was only a major issue in the early life of 8th gen because the last gen (PS3, Xbox 360,3DS, PS Vita) where much closer to each other in terms of parity wise to the PC. PS4, Xbox One, and or Wii U if applied, save for a few exceptions such as the infamous dumpster fire Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor last gen ports. Not help that the vanilla 8th gen systems where very dated in the first place. And it disappointed many such as me, the Critic, and Rich from ReviewTechUSA from making the 8tg gen feel like a small leap compared to the past. Also it causes problems like making people not buy the next gen systems as well.
