The Nintendo Switch port of SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy is a huge disappointment.

It basically WWE2K18 2.0 on Switch in terms of sloppy port as SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cjf6WNyRrq0 the final version is mostly 30FPS cap unlike the smooth 60FPS PS4 version, but here is what makes zero sense they said both version where 60FPS, and the Switch port is handled by Abstraction Games who did the very good Steam PC port of KOF 14 so no excuse especially for a 2.5D Fighting game of all things which is not very demanding on hardware. And the thing that really makes my blood boil is the far more demanding games running on the much more demanding Unreal Engine 4 such as Dragon Ball Fighter Z, and My Hero One's Justice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSCnGLWs1QM both run at higher frame rate with much better graphics/more going on onscreen for the later and even more odd is Bandai Namco claimed My Hero One's Justice was only 30FPS which is not true at all, this is embarrassing and inexcusable for SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy!

Keep in mind that the Switch is running much slower hardware than the PS4. It's a marvel that studios have been able to port major releases to it with so few issues. Going forward the discrepancy is going to become only more evident. Lower framerates are a given. Keep in mind also that developers have to account for the massive difference in GPU clock speed between docked and undocked mode while also providing a consistent experience.

I do know the Nintendo Switch is less powerful then the PS4 in raw power and for more demanding games such as Doom 2016, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, NBA 2K18 and 19, etc. I am fine for those titles because of the hardware limitations. But what makes zero sense is a simpler 2.5D Fighting game with late life PS2 Anime graphics non-cell shading rendered to HD that has not much going on during game play is 30 is just a crime for a genre known to be 60FPS. And to add insult to injury the Game Boy port of Killer Instinct is a full 60FPS https://youtu.be/GQ7qtqqgTlo?t=43m58s in 1995 on 8-bit NES equivalent specs so zero excuse.

And the Nintendo Switch can do 60FPS on more demanding games compared to SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy examples included Super Mario Odyssey, Bandai Namco Unreal Engine 4 Anime Fighting games such as Dragon Ball Fighter Z and My Hero One's Justice, and recently Mega Man 11: https://youtu.be/qMQuSPfdtjA?t=28s all run at 60FPS or variable 60FPS for My Hero One's Justice case due to the demanding heavy destruction physics which are CPU intensive in that game, makes zero sense why a simpler 2.5D Fighting game with late life PS2 Anime graphics non-cell shading rendered to HD that has not much going on is a total joke!

I hope this is similar to both Super Bomberman R and Pinball FX 3 on Switch where people criticized the frame rate and the devs released patches to fix the frame rate they can easily do it in SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy no problem.

What does a 23 year old Game Boy game have anything to do with this game?

I was pointing it out because of the framerate not the game itself, yes not the best comparison but still. A better comparison is Bandai Namco Unreal Engine 4 Switch port games such as Dragon Ball Fighter Z https://youtu.be/_6Wt2LwNa-0?t=4m47s and My Hero One's Justice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSCnGLWs1QM. Both are graphically superior with more going on screen with the CPU and are more demanding because Unreal Engine 4 is a demanding monster engine on Switch excluding iD tech6 and 7. Yet a game with basic HD late life PS2 era anime non-cell shaded graphics with less going on on screen like SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is approaching WWE2K18 Switch port frame rate territory which is a joke!

He's saying, in the most roundabout way possible, that the game's simple graphics should have given it a smoother frame rate.

That exactly the point I am making, because if you looked at more demanding Nintendo Switch games such as Super Mario Odyssey the two Bandai Namco Anime fighting games using Unreal Engine 4 and the Mega Man 11: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf6u_RGs-t8 their is zero reason why SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy can not hit a full 60FPS as SNK said it was going to be 60FPS: https://wccftech.com/snk-heroines-tag-t ... interview/ which was only true for PS4 but not Switch which is a joke as laptop toaster PC can run 2.5D fighting games like that at a full 60FPS FYI. This port is WWE2k18 2.0 and it shows.

If WWE had that performance, nobody would complain.

Most games I've seen since 2010 have either been "Eh..It's alright", "Wow...This sucks", and "Exactly how did this game get released?" Barely any of today's games I've seen to be good. 8-)
