You want proof that this engine sucks balls here are examples.

It killed the moral of BioWare for the 3 most recent games Dragon Age: Inquisition/Mass Effect: Andromeda/Anthem

It an unoptimized piece of garbage that rivals the infamous CryEngine with disappointing results like 900P/720P on PS4 and Xbox One at launch.

Meanwhile Doom 2016 is released on PS4 and Xbox One with way better results!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhhsmcoYybc

It buggy and glitchy as the recent Madden games for PS4 on the engine Madden NFL 18 and Madden NFL 19 are a mess and are worse then the non-Frostbite engine instalments.

It trying to be a poor mans Unreal Engine 4 with out the polish are quality games to boot.

It resulted in meme status bad animations in Mass Effect: Andromeda.

It sad it can not run on the Switch, yet it runs on the old/outdated PS3/XBox 360 WTF!:

It killed the promising Project Ragtag Visceral Games/Amy Hennig Star Wars game as the engine caused problems with the games development.

How could anyone with half a brain praise this piece of trash engine. It a miserable little pile of secrets as Dracula in Symphony of the Night would say.

Anyone else vocal about this engine.

Easily in my top 10 games of all time, this little quote is only rivalled by the voice segments in Valis II.

As for engine, while trash, a good game still requires good design. The Engine does not fix bad games. All the games you mentioned, even if upscaled and running better, are at best mediocre. The poorly optimized engine merely expatiates the problems. If they were good games nobody would have complained much. Take Zelda Breath of the Wild, the graphics suck on the WiiU, low res, really bad game breaking frame rates, yet it is such a good game nobody cares about the obvious graphical flaws it has.

BioWare has been steadily slipping downwards, they had their day in noughties.

First of all the "It a miserable little pile of secrets" quote is a joke that points fingers at how bad the Frostbite game engine is based on the many facts behind the scenes with this infamous engine. EA and Dice both overhyped the Engine as the greatest thing sense slice bread, and everyone thought this engine was going to be great great. But then Battlefield 4 came out at launch with resolution problems on PS4 and Xbox One all because of lazy X86 code dumping combined with the engine being garbage.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSI701GEWsA what a joke that engine is. Especially compared to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhhsmcoYybc the engine is exposed! Also what is so special about this garbage game engine nothing in fact I think the destruction physics on Red Faction Guerrilla :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HUjVmXuRN8 and this game using UE4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpiYuDRUO7c put Frostbite to total shame!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qmEb1I4xQQ and BTW pop ups on Xbox One X expose!: https://youtu.be/4qmEb1I4xQQ?t=293 as for Breath of the Wild, it not perfect on Switch even with latest patches, but is better then Wii U overall. As for BioWare their downfall was when EA poisoned them and it shows.

I'm not up on modern engines. I came into this thread thinking you were dissing the excellent Activision Frostbite game on Atari 2600.

It nothing to the with Activision Frostbite game on Atari 2600. It about pointing fingers at EA/DICE Frostbite (game engine) as it been causing more harm then good and explains why the recent Madden games on that engine became worse then the non-Frostbite entries. Heck it also the engine that is ruining BioWare reception as that engine has been nothing but horror stories.

My favorite game engines are following, MT Framework (Capcom), Unreal Engine 4 (or other Unreal Engines), Game Maker Studio 2, UbiArt Framework, RenderWare, Jade Engine (Ubisoft), PhyreEngine (from Sony PlayStation, but used on non PlayStation platforms along with their platforms.), Snowdrop, Unity (only for 2D and less ambitious 3D games in particular.)

Again if you looked at where it was posted and the name of the post it would be more obvious.
