An example of why a all digital/cloud only future does not work.

https://nintendoeverything.com/nicalis- ... ppearance/

Two words Publisher license.

As recently Ittle Dew+ 2 was removed from digital store fronts save for Steam because Nicalis publisher license expired recently and they transferred it to the creators Ludosity and because they could not transfer the Ludosity publisher license in time on console meant the game had to be removed from console digital storefronts. Fortunately it available physical on Switch: https://www.amazon.com/Ittle-Dew-2-Nint ... B073P8F3HV, but for other systems they are screwed proves why a digital/cloud only future does not work.

Thoughts?

On a related note this happened: http://frogwares.com/official-statement ... teractive/

Thankfully it has physical copies, but it shows it can happen to anything.

I think a lot of gamers are cool with this—they’d rather have a digital copy, even if it comes with risks of not being there one day.

A sad but true case.
