It reminds me a lot of my PS4. It's so easy to accidentally turn on that system by brushing against the controller. And then you have to basically go into the menu system to turn it back off. I used to think you could turn it off by holding in the power button, but whenever I would turn it back on it said I powered it off "wrong" and would begin some kind of time-consuming error checking process! Just recently I learned you're supposed to hold in the power button until it beeps a SECOND time. WTF??!
You would think that as consoles "progress" they would become easier to use but it's just the opposite. In 1977 you turned off your Atari 2600 with a flick of a switch (literally). Now you can turn off your PS5 in seven easy steps. Wonderful.
Maybe it was that way by design. These companies want to keep those console ON and ONLINE. That's how they make their money now.
Thoughts?
