Alan Wake II on physical?

Postby VideoGameCritic » June 8th, 2024, 11:21 am

I remember there was a lot of talk how Alan Wake II was not going to be released on physical media.

Ummm... sorry, I'm not spending $200 for this "collector's edition". Let me know when a standard edition is available!

I played this one on PC although did not get very far citing boredom. A slow burn game with heavy emphasis on story. I am not sure this one will be your cup of tea anyway.

But I loved the original Alan Wake. If the damn flashlight batteries didn't wear out every 10 seconds I would have given it an A.

Going through your reviews I notice you enjoy the survival horror genre. In that regard, ignore my earlier comment, you are probably going to love AW2. No weaponization of the flashlight in #2 though.

There is a non collectors edition coming physically. Preorder from Amazon or Bestbuy.

Also get the original Alan Wake remastered bundled with it.

80bucks seems like a lot until you remember 70 is the new baseline.

Yeah when I saw this I was like, not happening. I want a disc but not at that price. I will wait a couple of years and get it cheap on digital.. say 5 bucks.

I think it's getting a standard physical release at walmart/bestbuy/amazon etc.

They punish you these days for wanting to own a game and make you wait 1-2 years or more.

I'll wait as long as I have to for this one on Physical...but year not spending $200 at LRG.
