Here's a pretty cool little game I stumbled upon online. Has anyone heard of it? Basically, what you have to do is to race your character towards the goal before the timer runs out. Simple stuff, really, but harder than it sounds, as you also have to jump over rolling cans, hurdles and green tiles that slow you down if you run over them. But fortunately, you have ramps, a skateboard, and a giant can of soda that gives you a speed burst to help you out. Also, there are little blue cans in your way that not only give you points if you kick them out of your way as you run, they also stop the timer when you jump on them. Weird for sure, but it definitely helps out. And to me, that is the most valuable power up in the game. Especially as you progress through the game and there are more obstacles in your path to the goal. And when you do reach the goal. your character hunches over and pants like he's just ran a marathon. Which is pretty funny to see. Fail to reach the goal before your timer runs out, and you get electrocuted. Pretty extreme punishment for sure. But also pretty funny to see.
All in all, this is a pretty fun little game. Check it out at retrogames.cc

Yep, this game is included on Namco Museum Vol. 5 for the PS1. I love all of those really obscure games on the lesser-known compilations.

Yeah. This one is really a lot of fun. I'm not very good at it though lol. I can get to the third level, the one with all the ramps, but I can't beat it yet. I think the key is to bounce off the ramps in a certain way to fly a great distance, but there has to be some sort of timing to it that I haven't quite figured out yet. Either I just bounce off them a few feet, or I just run over them like a regular obstacle. Hopefully the next time I sit down and play it I can beat it because I'd like to see what else the game has to offer..
