Virtual Fishing (Virtual Boy)
I think I ran out of US titles to review for my Virtual Boy, so picked up the Japan import Virtual Fishing. Playing this is like fishing at night using infra-red binoculars.

I imagine this is terrible... How many Japanese VB games are there? I heard of some uber expensive Gundam strategy game and Space Invaders, anything else?

I had never heard of this game until a year or so ago when I saw it in a Craigslist ad. The concept really piqued my interest, but the price was a bit to steep for me. Definitely interested to see your review, though.

Space Squash I continually see for 50-60 dollars, never 200 unless it was like in plastic wrap or something. Now the really expensive VB games are the Big Four, Space Invaders Virtual Collection that usually goes for 300 dollars, then SD Gundam Dimension War, Virtual Lab and Virtual Bowling that range from 800 to 1200 dollars!

Yes, it's called the Flashboy, or Flashboy Plus which is newer and supports battery saving.
It can't hold a list of games like other flashcards though, only one at a time. All 23 VB games are playable as well as a host of homebrew games in various states of unfinishedness.

It's probably not a coincidence that these are 5 of the 6 retail VB games (all Japanese exclusives) that the VGC hasn't reviewed yet. Innsmouth no Yakata is the other one left in the mix, and I've read it's English-friendly -- but I guess it's another one of those that hovers in the $80-100 range, alas.
I'd like to fix up my Virtual Boy (it has the typical screen problems caused by adhesive failure), but a Flashboy or Flashboy Plus would be a real incentive. Any rumors of a new run of those?
