Resident Evil 7 (PS4)

Man I wish it were closer to Halloween because this is a pretty scary game. The first horror or so places you right smack in the middle of a horror flick. I could see the movie influences right off the bat: Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Blair Witch Project, Evil Dead...

It was a bit contrived but it's also very harrowing and disturbing. My cat was freaking out over the sound effects. The mood has been set but I don't feel as if I'm having much fun yet.

My brother bought it and said it was not resident evil.

I played the demo and thought that it was a good horror game. It felt a bit like Silent Hill Downpour. I will be interested to read your review.

I haven't played it, but I like how everyone says it's really creepy.... however, how come you don't have fun with the game yet?

Just got to playing P.T. and I can safely say P.T. is better than RE7, atmosphere wise. With that said, I still enjoyed RE7 a lot.

You'll have to fill me in on what P. T. is. Paper toilet?

The demo (it stands for Playable Teaser) for the now-cancelled game Silent Hills. Sadly, you can't play it anymore unless you already downloaded it prior to it getting taken down and you didn't delete it off your PS4.

On the subject to RE7, I really do think it's worth playing through, though I think the boss battles are more poorly executed compared to the rest of the game. For example, (highlight for spoilers) in the boss battle where you have to use a chainsaw against Jack Baker, he doesn't even react to you attacking him half the time, which makes it all the more bizarre that you have to repeatedly do so in order to expose his weak point.

Most of the time, however, it's great at keeping you on the edge of your seat and you really do feel like something can jump out at you at any moment.

I think I meant to post this in the Now Playing section. Whoops.
