World Series Baseball (Genesis)

I have got to get me a Framemeister. Hard to tell which looks worse on a modern TV, the N64 or the Genesis. Anyway, I really like this game. It's cool how they have all of the 1993 ballparks, and this brings back the feeling I had watching the Cubs in 1993. Neat little animations include flipping the ball back to the mound after the 3rd out. It's all about the little things. And the announcer is about as good as you'd expect on a 16-bitter (Although I still prefer listening to a soused Harry Caray).

Bout the only downside is how the games drag on. I wish that future iterations could have sped things up a bit, because this is otherwise a fantastic game. Too bad I didn't have a Genesis until 1998, I really could see myself getting into this.

I played tons of World Series 95 and World Series 96. The ballparks look fantastic. It was awesome (the first handful of times) to do cartwheels and fist pumps while circling the bases after a homerun... then it simply became annoying that it took so long to circle the bases.

I love this era of baseball games. So many franchises to choose from. None were perfect, and usually each had something they did better than the competition. Was always a tough choice in which one to spend my birthday money on.
