Lost in Shadow (Wii)

Postby Voor » June 20th, 2019, 7:53 pm

Pretty obscure title I stumbled upon. It is basically a 2D puzzle platformer with the gimmick being that you are a shadow figure and can only maneuver along shadows in the background. You can interact with the foreground environment some via an avatar of sorts (controller by the wiimote’s pointer) to control mechanical structures like gates, etc. There is some light combat involved.

The story is you must traverse up a tower to reunite with your human body, with each floor of the tower serving as a “level”. To exit each level, you must find 3 “keys” and then the exit.

Control is very responsive, graphics are unique to the game’s premise, music is mostly ambient tones, difficulty is fair, and it has a leisurely pace. Feels like a 2D Ico is the best way I can describe it.

I’m only about an hour in, and am enjoying it, but I worry about it getting repetitive.
