I remember my mother would take me to Blockbuster on a Friday night, then often we would head on over to a TCBY in the same plaza to get a frozen yogurt. We'd go home, watch Full House and Urkel on TGIF, then I'd go and play whichever game we rented. Such were my Friday nights in the early 90s.

Many times we would rent this. Now I was a huge fan of the first two Bases Loaded games, but I was never really a fan of this as a kid. Going back and playing it though, I have a new appreciation. Although fielding fly balls can be tricky, you soon get the hang of it. Pitchers tire way too quickly.

And was I ever disappointed being the Cub fan I am that Ryne Sandberg was nowhere in the game! He was on the friggin box!

Honestly though, for some reason, this game really does seem to capture that feeling of baseball around 1991.

I don’t care what anybody says, early 90s baseball was the best time ever.

I agree about early 90's baseball. In the late 80's early 90's there was a huge drop in home runs from previous years and decades, which I loved. The Phillies and Braves were fun to watch. Pittsburgh and the Mets and Boston had a lot of great players. There was so much strategy back then and hitters who worked the count and hustled. I loved the original Bases Loaded and vividly remember Bases Loaded 3. I thought the graphics were incredible.
