The Death and Return of Superman (SNES)

Finally got the SNES version of this game and can't help but think how great it COULD have been.

The graphics are sharp, the controls are tight, and the music is pretty terrific. But what's the deal with these stages? Metropolis is little more that brick walls and empty storefronts. Had they been a little more creative with the scenery I think it would have made the game a lot more interesting. Also, the same three enemies over and over. Very cookie-cutter.

I played this through emulation and yes, it was very cookie cutter and redundant. The only redeeming factor was this great message midway through, "It takes more than power to be Superman, it takes humanity and compassion"

Well already it sounds better than the NES and N64 games!

If only it had the same quality of level design as Batman Returns on the SNES!
