I've never really cared for this game due to its choppy animation, yet I've always left the door open to revisit it because I enjoy 2-on-2 volleyball games.
Well after work I had a few guys over and we played this on the deck. It was a blast. Yes, the animation is lousy but the competitive aspect is fun. And in the rare occasion of a player unleashing a wicked spike, everybody went wild.
So I think this might be the case of a mediocre game that's still fun when you get a feel for it. I will definitely need to revisit my current review.

Re: Super Spike V'Ball (Turbografx-16)
Check the game name. Super Spike V'ball is on the NES. The game you hated on Turbografx-16 is Sonic Spike Volleyball. I know, all these sports titles can get confusing.
