There's something about this game that brings back memories of being a kid. Indeed my neighbor did have this while I was growing up and when I wasn't being a royal pain I'd get invited over. Sometimes we'd play some Spelunker.
Of course it's a difficult game, much more difficult than tying my shoe which I hadn't yet mastered at that point in my life. So we never got very far.
Fortunately I have an NES flash cart which allows me to make save states. You know if it wasn't for the intense and cheap difficulty (you die after falling three inches) this would have been a nifty little game.
