I may have made an error here. I focused too much on 'roguelike' and not enough on space combat shooter. I have had issues with motion sickness, which makes gaming a lot less fun - plus I'm an awful dogfighter. The worst.. The flight movement and fire controls are all on the right (the left for acceleration and yaw/strafe) which I find hard to do.

It was on Xbox Games pass and the graphics in the demo looked amazing. So I played it and was like errrr. I came to a similar conclusion to you. I was expecting more RPG and less flying around trying to play Battlestar Galactica against the Cyklons.

One really good space fighter game I recently discovered was Chorvs. The developers say it's actually called "Chorus," but I say they shouldn't have spelled it with a V. It's on PS4/5 and Xbox, and it's currently free on PS+ if you're subscribed. Definitely worth at least a look!
