I've recently acquired the Sega CD version of Chuck Rock, so I'm re-reviewing all four games for the Genesis and Sega CD.
This was one of the better 16-bit platformers in its day. The prehistoric graphics had a lot of humor and the control is awesome. As usual, the Sega CD has clearer music, but the question is always, is it better???
It looks like Chuck also appeared on the SNES. Is that worth tracking down as well?

Re: Chuck Rock (Genesis/Sega CD)
Chuck Rock is also a nice "Saturday morning" platformer. Its bright, cheery graphics remind me of a Saturday morning cartoon from back in the day. Goes perfect with a good cup of coffee!
I'm starting to see the advantages to the Sega CD version. Some of the original music was a little grating (like the stage 2 caves). Also, the CD has a much-needed password feature.

Re: Chuck Rock (Genesis/Sega CD)
I played the original Chuck Rock on both Sega Master System en Sega Mega Drive. I thought it had nice graphics and animation, but the game was kinda.. bland. I don't think it's bad but I didn't really enjoy it.
