Resident Evil Mercenaries (3DS)

I'll be banging out a review soon, but here are some thoughts. The game is just okay.

The stages are taken from RE5, and the bland, brownish scenery does not make for good 3D! I wish they had derived the first 3DS game from RE4, or earlier.

I like the idea of short stages, but the first boss is crazy hard. Took me about 50 tries to beat.

I can see why there was some controversy about not being able to "reset" the cartridge, since the goal of each stage is to get a high score (high scores are recorded per character).

I think most people would prefer to challenge their own scores. Then again, maybe it would be more fun to beat somebody's else's high score.
