Favorite Albums of the 90s

Carlos Santana - Supernatural: This legendary album is one of my all-time favorites from a legend in music. Add in the famous Smooth with Rob Thomas and you know you have a winner. Other great hits include: "Yaleo", "Love of my Life", "Put your lights on", Corozon Espinado", and "Maria Maria". For me this was more than an album, it was the soundtrack to my teen years I played it often from 99 - 04. A few years ago, I went to a concert that had songs from this soundtrack and it was incredibly awesome (you should have seen the crowd, the place was jam-packed to the hilt!).

Eiffel 65 - Blue: Another big hit of my teen years, though mostly the preliminary part of it. The famouse "I'm Blue" still ring in my head to this day every now and then. Other notable ones include: "Your Clown", "Your Console", "The Edge", "Silicon World", "Too much of Heaven", "Another Race". I wonder what happened to this group......

That’s a great list! What’s funny is I’m so out of it from waking up that I mistook this thread for a grunge albums thread. When I saw all these non grunge bands I was confused. I actually have that first Foo Fighters album along with Nevermind and In Utero as my favorites of the decade no matter what genre. If I added one more it would be The Lemonheads It’s a Shame About Ray.

What Dave Grohl accomplished with the first Foo Fighters album was insane. He played every instrument and the album still sounds fresh. It’s almost like what inventing the lightbulb is to music.

Those are all good choices! I got to see Garbage live back in the summer in Tampa. Opening for Tears for Fears, they did a fantastic live performance. Only twenty bucks I paid for the show, but I'd easily pay double if needed.

I'd give this comment more merit if you pushed it back to like 1992-1994. What genres are we talking about here? If you're talking metal, I don't know what to say man. The 90's were a lot better. Punk? The 90's probably. Rock? Then we're probably talking about until like '94. I mean c'mon. The early 90's was a great time for music. If you want to go 1996 or later, I totally agree. There were very few good rock albums made after around 1995.
