Star Trek Picard series 3 Ep 1 and 2.
It is good fun. More Picard from Next Gen, though he looks like he is a 100. The effects are dynamic. I just wish the pot was as well. Just like a lot of new SF. Amazing effects but not great plots. Next Gen was episodic and normally a story would be completed with one or 2 eps. Now it has an arc. So it is 6 to 10 eps with a central theme. So series one theme was Evil is out there determined to destroy the galaxy. Series 2 shared a similar theme that evil was out there and it wanted to destroy the galaxy. For this latest Arc it is back to evil.. which with a burst of original thought is .. well ... errr out to destroy the galaxy.

Good fun so far and better that Star Trek Disco.

Agreed. I wasn't a fan of Season 1 or 2 but it was great seeing Picard and a few of his buddies come back. This season starts off a bit better at least.

Have you watched Star Trek: Strange New Worlds? That to me is how a Star Trek series should be done. Good stories, self-contained for the most part and an overall enjoyable show. I'm hoping they release a season 2.

I'm not a huge Star Trek fan, but fairly recently I watched the animated Star Trek show, Prodigy, with my daughter. I was pleasantly surprised at how good/entertaining it was.

We'll check it out. At the moment my daughter and I are watching the Fox X-Men cartoon together. If she's into that there's a hope I can get her into Star Trk via a cartoon. Good to hear Prodigy is worth watching.

Speaking of cartoons, I'm currently watching a rare, unfinished, but still great that didn't get the full attention and respect it rightfully deserves: The Pirates of Dark Water. Featuring a nice voice cast from George Newbern (Ren), Jodi Benson (Tula), Hector Elizondo (Ioz), Brock Peters (Bloth), Tim Curry (Konk), and Peter Cullen (Mantus). Nicely animated with great action, and well written plots, too bad it wasn't completed as it's budget was through the roof, which simultanously became its own downfall as some scenes had to be redrawn causing delays. Even worse is Hanna-Barberra, the company that made it is no more, too bad.

Just got back into watching Mission Impossible 1980's series and there's one episode "Countdown" which features an awesome guest apperance of Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, the man who played Shang Tsung in the Mortal Kombat movie!

I really don't watch many television shows, mostly films and documentaries. But I caught a show that has been around for several years finally, Life Below Zero. Pretty interesting stuff if you like real life.
