So many awesome albums, so many I could put on this list. I'm gonna limit myself to ten and it's gonna be albums by ten different artists. Here goes:

2) Megadeth "Rust in Peace"
3) Guns n Roses "Appetite for Destruction"
4) Slayer "Reign in blood"
5) Iron Maiden "The Number of the Beast"
6) Ozzy Osbourne "Diary of a Madman"
7) Judas Priest "Defenders of the faith"
8) Black Sabbath "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath"
9) AC/DC "Back in Black"
10) Def Leppard "Pyromania"

Jeez Louise, my top 10 is literally completely different nowadays from when I wrote this! Only one of these bands remain in my top ten, and even then, it's a different album than the one I chose here.

Now saying that, I do still love every single one of these albums. They're all fantastic, don't doubt that for a minute. It's just that I've listened to so much incredible music over the last 6 and a half years, I've discovered new favorites!

So without further ado, here is my modern top ten in no particular order, one album per artist:

Jawbreaker- Dear You
Alice In Chains- Self titled
Jimmy Eat World- Clarity
Seaweed- Spanaway
Samiam- Clumsy
Discount- Half Fiction
Farside- The Monroe Doctrine
Endive- Discography 2
Coffin Break- Crawl
Leatherface- Mush

I just gave mine an overdue update. Much less change, more reflective of shifting appreciations than new discoveries, but I don't know how I left Alice Coltrane off the first time around or saw fit to include Pink Floyd. (Not that I dislike The Dark Side of the Moon, but I've always been alienated by its calculated theatricality, even when I counted it in my top ten.)
