Little House on the Prairie

Only the pilot movie is set on the prairie; the rest are on plumb creek. Going by Wikipedia, the series only adapts the general concept of the books, not the plots.

It's good, even if it is corny melodramatic stuff.

Decided to revisit an old favorite of mine: the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This version is closest to its grim, dark, edgy, violent comic book (which ironically wasn't meant for kids!), yet thankfully there's still a great deal of fun to be had, though it takes it's lead characters and subject matter more seriously, putting more emphasis on the internal struggles of the protagonists than the heroics like how Christopher Nolan did with the Batman series. Forget the cartoony campiness of the 80's series this the real deal. The 4 lead turtles all get a moment to shine, even Splinter, Casey Jones, and April O'Neal herself, who's more competent than the damsel-in-distress yellow jumpsuit version of the 80's version. Granted it can get a bit brutal sometimes, Casey Jones does indeed hit punks and on some occasions Raphael with his sporting equipment, and like one of the intro's lyrics says, "Watch out for Shredder!" Indeed this Shredder isn't fooling around he even maims some of his subordinates, one of which slowly deteriorates in body until he's nothing more than a brain and eyeball controlling a robot body. If you thought that was frightening, wait till you hear this: (Spoilers) at one point Leo and Shredder square off, at the climax, they jump slash, in the distance Shredder's head literally falls off! Other than that shocking moment, I love this series.

Rings of power season 2
Given this is a prequel to Lord of the Rings, if you have read the book or watched the movies it is a bit predictable. After all Sauron is the all seeing eye from his tower. Also, the orcs are his troops. That makes season 2 a complete joke, as we already know the outcome. It is the problem I have with the two season, you can tell the back story but the compelling story is Lord of the Rings.
So we now have black hobbits, that was season 1. Wow sooooooooooooooooooo bad. A black Elf, I really like him. A blond Elf, she is cute and some of the most stupid elves. Plus Dwarfs are now Scottish, now if that is not closet racism from the American Amazon channel, I do not know what is. Though, the black Scottish dwarf is very cool. I just wish she was given more of a role, she is a wife to the Dwarven prince but could be so much more.

It loves to see the grand design but misses the point of prequels, they flesh out other stories not mentioned in the books. Vanity projects from Tolkien fans.

I have warmed to it a bit and I give is a solid D. Mostly for the FX which are superb. I really want to like this series but it is just not there yet.

All of us are dead.
A Korean zombie tv series where a high school gets infected by a zombie plague.

It is a different take of the whole plague idea. I thought it worked very well. Also, 2 types of zombies. 1 mindless, the only a speaking zombie killing machine.
How will the teens survive against the zombie horde? Scary and a great Halloween watch.

Oh it is on netflix.

I've been watching the Menendez bros limited series on Netflix. I never paid much attention to this case so this is all new to me. I don't expect a fictional docu-drama to be completely accurate, but it's probably true enough to be depressing while engrossing at the same time. Bardem is excellent as the disgusting dad and Chloe Sevigny is excellent as the horrible mom. At least this is how they were presented. I don't know all the facts of the case. Watch in order to (probably) feel better about your own family.

EDIT: Okay, I didn't watch the complete series before posting this. Hoo boy.

Anyone on here watch Game of Thrones? I haven't seen the show or read the books, but I just got an HBO Max account last week and I'm thinking about giving it a go. But I've heard that the last couple seasons were terrible and ruined the show overall. Is it worth it to even start the show at this point?

I know you love fantasy. This series will be right up your street. The first 5 series are superb but then they run out of GRR Martin books and the writing slips a bit. On the whole a 10 out of 10 series. I honestly loved it and watched each year as it came out. Even though I was watching it on Sky and sometimes the quality was done at 240p. I thought the first 5 were truly awesome. Yeo the last series not great but it is still better than a lot of things that came before it and after it.
So much better that the Prime attempt at Lord of the rings. Rings of power has the right look. I mean it looks amazing but the way they play with Tolkien's characters is sure to get the back up of most people. In the same way as the hobbit movies stretched used one book to make three movies. One slim book

I just finished the first episode. I won't say I'm hooked (yet) but it's definitely interesting enough that I'll watch at least one more episode. And if that keeps my interest, I'll watch another, and we'll just see how things go.

Yeah, it’s worth watching for sure. It’s flawed but well done for the most part.

House of the dragon is the prequel series, which I actually like more. Seems better focused and I enjoy the pacing more. I’m sure I’m in the minority there.

I just found out that Battlebots is on HBO Max and have been binging it. I don't know if it's considered a sport, but it gets me pumped the way football does for most normal people. Also, Faruq is a national treasure.
