Kung Fury

Kung Fury is a Kickstarter-funded action-comedy that tries to cram every piece of Eighties pop-culture detritus possible into a half-hour running time. I actually don't want to talk much about it, since the surprise and absurdity of each joke is a big part of the fun. The first half is a bit stronger than the second (the film uses up it's ideas at a prodigious rate and some of the freshness starts to wear off by the end), but it's absolutely worth it if you have a bit of spare time and want to see cheese and intentional idiocy taken to it's logical extreme. If you liked the tongue-and-cheek tone of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, this should be right up your alley:

Saw this on El Rey network. This movie has the budget of a Filmation cartoon. Amazing how much of this movie is green screen...one tiny green screen. They only had one cop uniform to film a precinct full of cops. Ewwww, everyone sharing one uniform, and then digitally composed the scene. Interesting to compare to AVGN amateur movie.

Its a fun romp through a Charlie Sheen hallucination, and has a few memorable quotes.
