I remember when those were the latest reviews........

That banner, those reviews......

I'm 44 now............

I think memory lane is killing me.

Agreed, this is awesome. The VGC's site 14 years ago. I think I start coming here some time around 2001-2002. This brings back so many memories. The layout, the reviews, the whole nine yards.

Thanks for posting this.

2002, 2003, 2004 for me. The layout was too complicated, so I left for http://atarimuseum.com/ pretty soon after wards. I've learned to navigate fairly well since then.

They're still around, the service was spun off GeoCities a few years before Yahoo shut GeoCities down. There are enough editors to keep the rings from being broken. The listed sites themselves, however, haven't been updated in years. 80% of sites in a WebRing look like this:

"This page is under construction. I plan to add some neat stuff here soon. Meanwhile, I've joined a WebRing!

<< Last Site | List Sites | Random Site | Next Site >>

Last Updated: 1999"

Don't know if The Classic Videogame Syndicate is around tho.

Looks like The Classic Video Game Syndicate may still be around. Haven't had a chance to explore their list of sites yet but at least there still is a list.
