I'm under the impression that boycotting the movies will make any difference, but I hate them and am offended by their existence nontheless. What I think I'm even more offended by, though, is how okay people are with them. I'm of the opinion that what we consume for entertainment does more to shape who we are than the things we learn in school. That being said, we need to push for more entertainment that has more to offer than fart jokes, half naked women, and explosions. Movies and books that treat their audience like they may have the IQ bigger than an ant. I'm not saying every movie needs to be some deep and philosophical mind brain scrambler, but it bothers me that so much of what's being produced these days is the complete polar opposite of that.
