Happy Katana- A Fairly Decent Pop Culture Website

Postby LoganRuckman » May 13th, 2019, 11:05 am

https://happykatana.wordpress.com

So, after getting permission from a mod (thanks Rev!), I wanted to share my website with you guys. I know I've posted links in the forums before, but I wanted to create a general thread for the site overall.

Happy Katana is actually nearly a decade old, but I just came back from a year long hiatus when I realized I had the desire to write again. And I have to say, I'm a much better writer now than I was in the earlier days of the site. Seriously, going back to some of my old stuff just makes me cringe nowadays, but anyone who enjoys writing has to put in a lot of practice if they want to improve. Anyways, here's some of my recent stuff.

I have recently written a slew of album reviews:

https://happykatana.wordpress.com/2019/ ... ome-about/

https://happykatana.wordpress.com/2019/ ... d-clarity/

https://happykatana.wordpress.com/2019/ ... s-ramones/

https://happykatana.wordpress.com/2019/ ... ains-dirt/ This one might be the best article I've written thus far.

These Pokemon reviews make up a lot of what I write nowadays. They're easier to write and less time consuming, and I still have fun writing them. I was influenced by the excellent Not All Pokemon Are Created Equal blog (https://notallpokemonareequal.blogspot.com/?m=1):

And you can follow the site on social media:

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. If you love what I'm doing, that's great. I'd love to hear it. On the other hand, I have thick skin, so if you think I'm a talentless hack and just want to tell me how much I suck, I'm okay with that too. In fact, I might even enjoy it in a masochistic sort of way.

very nice. I read your review for the Get Up Kids' album, which is one of my favorites. Very well written. That album was very good, and now that I think of it, quite different from a lot of their other stuff.

Thank you for the kind words! Yeah, I love that album to death. One of my favorites as well.
