Tenth Anniversary of Steve McNair's passing

Postby Retrology » July 4th, 2019, 2:39 am

Hard to believe it's been ten years since one of the Titans' most iconic players passed from this Earth. His style of play made him beloved not just by Titans fans, but by plenty of football fans outside Nashville. He was the first black quarterback to win MVP, sharing it with Peyton in '03.

It's rough, because as a kid I admired McNair's ability to make plays out of the pocket. He was also one of the toughest quarterbacks in the modern league, constantly getting bruised and injured but at the same time constantly coming back. He was loved by a lot of NFL fans and he still is ten years after his tragic death.

RIP to a legend.

One yard short. That’s what I’ll always remember. Of course, McNair made an incredible play to even get rid of the ball. That was a great game.

You said he shared MVP honors? I didn’t know that could happen...
