I've been waiting forever for a new live-action Mortal Kombat movie, but I think I'll settle for this for now. Any idea when it will be out?

The first Mortal Kombat movie was good. I didn't realize there was one in 1997, with Cyrax (my favorite character in any video game) no less. Apparently the reviews were terrible but I don't listen to reviewers anymore, they're wrong about so many movies. Hopefully the 2021 will be good.

The VGC's review page is positive on the first one but calls the second "indefensible", if you want a fan's opinion.
