Your favorite President's Day movie(s)

Postby Zack Burner » February 15th, 2021, 6:32 am

Today is President's Day, and with a nice Cherry pie, how can you go wrong? I only have one, but it's a good one:

Head of State with Chris Rock - besides being funny, Rock himself makes some good points. You can almost say life has imitated art as this movie prophetized the Obama Administration by 5 years.

Thirteen Days (movie about the Kennedy administration and the Cuban Missile Crisis........crazy and frightening how close the U.S. and the Soviets came to war. I have wondered what that Halloween must have felt like to many parents realizing how the world was on the brink of disaster. I know I would have been passing out extra candy!

I guess that's one bright spot about being on the verge of nuclear annihilation: To HELL with the diet!

Hey, don't forget Lincoln with Daniel Day Lewis playing him! He nailed the role. And then there's Lee Daniels the Butler with Robin Williams as Dwight D Eisenhower, James Marsden as JFK, and surprise surprise, Alan Rickman (Professor Snape!) as Ronald Reagan.
