So apparently they are rebooting the Resident Evil movie franchise.

I previously reviewed the first 6 (!) Resident Evil movies, and while they were entertaining on their own merits, they didn't feel anything like the video games. In fact, I often wondered if the director(s) had ever even PLAYED a Resident Evil game. These films felt more like the Matrix.
Anyway in they could tap into that sense of terror people get while playing the games they might be on to something.

Re: New Resident Evil Movie
Looks better than Paul WS Andersons attempts, but still I don't have too much faith when they can't get simple stuff like the looks of the characters right. Why is it so hard to just dress an actor up to look like a game character?

Re: New Resident Evil Movie
Just watched this incoherent trailer and it does not inspire confidence. Looks like one of those straight-to-video numbers.

I think it looks great. It is by the guy who made 29 metres down, that scary Shark movie. I think it will be tremendous fun or total s*** either way I am watching it.
