Movies you don't want to see anymore

Postby Zack Burner » August 4th, 2022, 2:01 pm

Every now and then there's a movie that you've either grown tired of, no longer clicks with your styles, or is so bad in your mind you don't want to hear or see it again. I've encountered several in my time:

Sweeney Todd - I'm not a fan of over-the-top blood and gore and the costumes are awful in my eyes.

American Beauty - I had to research this for a film class in college, now the concept of a middle-aged man falling in love with a teenage girl just feels wrong, not helped with other things that feel just wrong, time has definitely not been kind to this picture. Should be renamed: American Ugly Tagline: Look away, look very far away.

Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas - painfully unfunny dropped out 20 minutes into it.

Bruno - The Borat movies were offensive in a funny way, but this goes way too over the top in the gross department like the previous entry, walked out on it.

Jack - not even Robin Williams or Francis Ford Coppola could save this poorly executed mess.

The Master of Disguise - Dana Carvey is funny, this isn't.

Clerks. When I was in my early 20s I thought this film was hilarious. Now that I'm middle-aged and have raised children I've gotten more conservative. I tried re-watching it and the pornographic language was such a turnoff now. I think I'm just going to give that in a few other older DVDs I don't watch anymore to Goodwill. If you've never seen it I'm not just talking about general language, I am talking about pornographic language like you would see in a porn movie. It's pretty disgusting to me now.

I know the perfect replacement for Clerks: something that is combines Clerks with the Breakfast Club - Empire Records, you'll have a much better time with that.
