Pokemon Puzzle League

Postby Zack Burner » August 6th, 2019, 3:59 pm

There have been many puzzle games on the N64, but nothing like this one! Whether or not you're a fan of Pokemon (and perhaps the Original Series of the anime), you're definitely going to love this game! It's a lot like Tetris Attack but with some new twists including a 3D mode! This mode's a more challenging to keep on your toes especially when your opponent launches garbage blocks at you, though you can do the same thing. Probably the highlight was how this game managed to capture the heart and spirit of the anime show you remember when you were a kid or teenager growing up in the late 90's-early 2000's. The voices are spot on just like they were in the 4Kids dub of the show with the memorable Veronica Taylor voice we loved over the other one. There's some FMV cutscenes (a rarity for the N64), but here's the only negative, they're a bit choppy in resolution. The music is spot on, lifted from the show, including the Jukebox songs (my favorites where Viridian City and My Best Friends). All in all, if you're a Poke-fan of the show or a puzzle fan, this is a must play.
