Time to go back to the 8-bit era with a movie license! This one follows the 1988 movie where you as John McClane must rescue his wife from Hans Gruber and his henchmen as well has stop them from accumulating a vast fortune from the vault which there is very little time. You start off with a pistol but you can upgrade to a machine gun. You have 2 types of health general and foot. foot health affects your speed and first aid packs restore that aspect while soda cans restore general health. You also acquire C4s which help you open doors, but be careful in more high tech areas should you open a door with it you blow yourself up. You'll have to stop Gruber's thugs before you take on Gruber himself. Best to have a guide with this hard game. Ignore a certain "Nerd" review this game is good.

It was really hard-pressed to make the game look all that bad. Die Hard is very ambitious for an NES movie license, impressive even with a guy swearing at it between swigs of Rolling Rock. Not even on the same planet as all those LJN throwaways.
