Time for another portable review! This is the debut of the famous hair whipping half genie with all her bellydancing moves. How does this one hold up? Well for one thing the graphics though lively and detailed don't hold up to more advanced technology. The music exhibits a fun Middle Eastern vibe even when you do the dances. Of course the big thing is the gameplay. The platform action is crisp and the dance feature though good then feels a little bit arduous now as you have to enter a directional button sequence to get it. What redeems this somewhat is the animations for the movements. Some include hip shaking, side movements, and a dance like "Walk like an Egyptian". It can be a little difficult as you could input the wrong direction. Overall, fun but dated, strictly for diehard Shantae fans.
