The Terminator (SNES)

Postby Zack Burner » January 25th, 2020, 5:35 pm

Time for a movie licence! Yes there was a SNES version of the first Terminator movie, but don't get too excited. In concept it would sound cool, but in reality the execution is horrendous. You play Kyle Reese sent to protect Sarah Connor from the Terminator himself. Won't be easy with all the machines in the past and thugs in present day, this will be a hard battle for sure. The first big problem is the preliminary levels are in the past as you battle the machines, and to be honest, this gets old quickly not to mention the difficulty level. While gameplay is like that of a Contra game, the problem is it's just not fun. When you get to present day, nothing changes. Probably the only highlight is the final battle where have to whack the Terminator with a pipe to slow him down until you reach Sarah who gives you a pipe bomb and when you do, the endoskeleton explodes and takes you with it (just like in the movie). Overall, not recommended.
