Released at the tail end of the SNES lifespan (1997), this did not get much attention, but it's still an awesome game! A lot of changes happened which makes this game more worth your time than the first. For once you can have a two player game instead of one player like the first game. It gets cooler from there, the original trio get some upgrades: Erik can now double jump, bash through ceilings, and swim; Beleog now has a robotic arm that allows him to attack enemies from a distance, grab objects that are unreachable, and hook onto things to swing (Simon Belmont anyone?); and Olaf can now shrink down, and fart to destroy some floors. The best part, is the boys gain two great allies: Fang a werewolf who can climb walls and claw at enemies, and Scorch a dragon who can fly (but not for too long), glide like Olaf, and breath fireballs at enemies. You'll travel to some more interesting locations than the first game such as Transylvania, the Dark Ages, Pirates, The Amazon Jungle, and Finally Tomator's Space Ship. The music is so good you'll never tire of hearing it. There's a lot of cultural and movie jabs for some good humor. Overall this one's better than the first one.
