QUARTH / Nintendo GAMEBOY A+

You guys want a Black n White GAMEBOY Review, here ya go!

Despite being one of the earliest GB games, QUARTH is still one of the best. At first it appears to be a space shooter......you start off choosing a ship of your liking.they range from a standard jet to a heart with wings but they all control the same......just like SPACE INVADERS, you move left n right and fire.

As in Tetris, blocks start coming down from the top of the screen. Nope, you don't shoot the blocks.....instead you must shoot your own blocks to make complete Rectangles, which then dissapear and add points. The bigger the shape you make the more points you get. After scoring x number of points you move on to a harder level.

And thats all folks! I know it SOUNDS dull, and the graphics and music are very primitive, but this is an extremely addictive and for once ORIGINAL game. No other game plays quite like QUARTH (I've no idea what QUARTH means by the way). Its simple like TETRIS, and just like TETRIS it will keep you playing just one more game!

And this is why the Critic should get some of the better GB games. You don't need 256 colours and stereo sound to be fun!
