2021/5/17: Playstation 3: Rambo: The Video Game
This review ran a little longer than I planned, but I think it's an interesting game. Thoughts?

Great review Critic. It reminds me of the heavy fire afghanistan /shattered spear games on Xbox 360. I wanted to play it but as I do not have the move controllers on ps3 I think I will pass. Good review that highlights problems a lot of games have when they are badly programmed. When you get frame rate issues,it can really end the game as a pleasurable experience.

Never knew this existed. Sucks that it's a semi-generic first person shooter.
I feel like if they were going to follow the movies the most obvious thing would have been to make a Metal Gear Solid style game. Just give the player more freedom for action every now and then. This should have been a 3rd person stealth/action hybrid.
Also, I would think part of the appeal of playing Rambo is actually SEEING Rambo onscreen. You want to take control of Stallone and do all sorts of cool stuff. With the 1st person perspective you're really just sort of experiencing things yourself. Hell, the game could have you playing as anyone and it wouldn't matter from a gameplay perspective. Sure it's a strictly superficial thing, but I think it's major misstep.
I guess it's back to Demolition Man on the 3DO for my virtual Stallone fix.

I might pick this up just to try with the PS Sharpshoter and move controller. I love light gun games and there aren't enough of them.
Highly recommend House of the Dead 4 which was a PS3 exclusive digital only game which actually rocks all around and is a worthy successor to HOTDIII. Way better than the Overkill games IMO.

I totally forgot about the Sharpshooter "gun" add-on, but I do have one. I should try it.

I need to get the "Navigation controller" so i can move around in some games. Only have the move controllers because of PSVR and just bought the PS Sharpshooter guns for HOTD IV. Who can keep track of all these peripherals? lol
