I've seen all the Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore, and the bulk of the Connery movies, but never Timothy Dalton. Looks like he was Bond for a very short time before it became Brosnan.
My wife doesn't like a lot of these old spy/action movies so I don't get to watch them like I used to.
Critic, you could only handle 4 levels, but gave it a D. How much worse would it have had to be to get an F?
The Critic and I have a difference of opinion when it comes to the dreaded "F" rating. For me, a game has to have missed on pretty much every front - bad graphics, horrible sound, terrible gameplay, awful mechanics, etc. - to warrant a full on "F". Or, be irretrievably broken or just plain ridiculously maddening to play.
This game has decent graphics, ok sound, and middling design. If not for the constant tripping over rocks/pipes/grates, whatever, it probably would have even been elevated to "C" territory, but the constant tripping over crap and lack of imagination through at least the first four levels lowered it to "D" territory for me.
Someone else mentioned it probably would have been beneficial to re-watch the movie in question prior to playing/reviewing the game, and that's probably a true statement because while I am positive I did see this movie at some point in my life, I remember basically nothing about it aside from a throw-away line in the flick where Dalton says something like "I must have scared the living daylights out of her!". I was thinking, oh, so that's where the name comes from, how dumb! Later in life I realized it was the name of the novel the movie was based on.
It still sucks though.
