I warned you against this game in the forums. It had a free weekend a couple of years back on xbox live and it was a piece of trash then. So bad and more importantly no fun whatsoever. I have seen it cheap and have never bothered with it. It is like they never played any of the previous games. Just dreadful. Oh I am the F- rating next to yours.

I remember when Yahtzee from Zero Punctuation talked about this. He said he knew it was going to be bad when Konami talked about it at E3 and gave everyone complimentary hip flasks, like they knew they were going to want to erase this game from memory as soon as possible.

Thanks for suffering through this for us . Konami; how the mighty have fallen. One has to question whether execs ever bother to pop their head in when these titles are in their infancy. "Oh, this game looks like you might ruin the reputation of Contra. Let's start again or scrap the idea entirely"; said no one ever.

I looked it up on YouTube, and I think you gave the girl's voice acting too much credit; she sounds like a Disney Channel character.

The last console "Contra" title I actually enjoyed was Hard Corps Uprising on the Xbox 360. I doubt we'll ever see a review on here since the game never got a physical release, but for any curious parties, it sells for $15 and can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store on Xbox One. I believe it is a Xbox / PC exclusive title.

The screenshots for Rogue Corps remind me of the Dreamcast title Expendable. That game got old fast, but it looked great, ran well, and had nice co-op. It was fun to pop it in now and then and while away the afternoon.

(Sounds like the polar opposite of Rogue Corps, in fact...)
