2024/10/5: Sega Genesis: Battletech, Eliminate Down

Postby VideoGameCritic » October 5th, 2024, 12:03 pm

Check out my latest Sega Genesis reviews for Battletech and Eliminate Down.

The Eliminate Down replaces the previous Japanese reproduction review, upping the grade from C- to C+.

Thoughts? Comments?

I read many years ago the review of the SNES version (called Mechwarrior 3050), bub didn't know there is a Genesis version. I'll give it a try.

There is also another Mechwarrior game on SNES that is a FPS, have you played it?

Yeah Mechwarrior for the SNES is completely different. It's first-person. Review should be forthcoming.

The opening of the BattleTech review is wrong. As a game, it has no connection or resemblance to the PC MechWarrior; they just share an IP. If BattleTech is a watered-down port of MechWarrior, Super Empire Strikes Back is an upgraded port of the 2600 The Empire Strikes Back.
