Snow blower.

Same, it's a snow blower in these parts (Minnesota). My Ariens does a pretty swell job of it at that.

Interesting question. I checked out the PS1 version on YouTube and noticed two differences. The snow looked a lot more chunky, and the draw-in distance was much worse.

That said, it's possible it may play better. You really can't tell that from a video.

Dude! Shovels!

Ha, I actually use a shovel too. I grew up hearing the term snow blower, a friend from Colorado calls them a thrower.

I got to play the Dreamcast Snow cross game last night. It would not work with my HDMI/VGA cable from level hike, so I plugged in the old RCA cable composite solution.

I played through the 500 cc championship and attempted the 600 cc but did not win yet. I probably saw five unique courses so far. The game doesn’t play bad at all, at first I could not control it well. I don’t have the manual handy and probably wouldn’t have read it anyway, so it took me a couple plays to realize that I could and should repair various elements of the snowmobile. During one game, I don’t know what I upgraded, maybe I made the skis steel to do this, but I could not drive in a straight line after the upgrade.

Today I learned that there is a Yamaha Vmax snowmobile! Visually the game is uglier and performs worse than games like Hydro thunder or Sega Rally 2. I plan on playing it this week and seeing if I can get good at it and complete it, but it was the critics review that made me remember that the game existed, and that I owned it a well, so thanks for that.

Well I picked up the Playstation One version of this game, and we pleasantly surprised. Obviously the graphics couldn't quite stack up to the Dreamcast. The snow is kind of chunky and there's quite a bit of draw in.

The frame-rate however is very smooth and I found the analog steering to be MORE responsive than the Dreamcast! I'm going to post a full review soon but this PS1 version compares favorably.
